As someone coming from doing MSpaint for nearly 6.... or god even 8 yaers if I'm right, Mspaint can be a genuinely good way to experiment and test your abilities on a more limited program. I'd also just argue that MSpaint's inherent simplicity overall genuinely helps in some parts as it's forced me to think more outside the box with how to handle it but also the fact there's still plenty good work arounds and tricks wiht Mspaint like Eraser Tool shading! I hope you can further your abilities in MSpaint.
